Sex And Aging Men

Now a days you are bombarded with advertisements for drugs to treat Erectile Dysfunction (ED), used to be known as "Impotence".

Erectile Dysfunction occurs when you repeatedly unable to get or maintain an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse.

If this happen to you, do not worry as impotence affects millions of men around the world.

While many men know that Erectile Dysfunction is part of growing old and that sometime happen to them for no particular reason.

Impotence by itself is medically treatable.

Unlike impotence, infertility occurs in men 50 percent of the time, yet women are always to be blame for not being able to get pregnant.

Below are five common myths about male aging and sex.

1. You are impotent but your male friends do not seem to have any problem with their erection.

Your erection becomes weaker as you aged.

However if you have medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol you may experience erectile dysfunction earlier in your lives.

2. Your penis is too short for a good sex.
Many men have this misconception that to enjoy a good sex you need a long penis.

Lengthening your penis are mere cosmetic procedures and do not enhance your erection.

In fact this may cause you problems with your erections.

3. You could not have multiple erections.
Correct. Most men cannot have multiple erections.

After you ejaculate, your penis will have a refractory period with in which it cannot become erect.

4. You take medicine to improve your sex life.
Erection drugs cannot increase your sex drive.

They only increased blood flow in your penis, making erections stronger and more rigid.

5. You can die from taking erection drugs.
Deaths happen when you take these drugs without consulting your doctor for proper medical supervision.

Normally the cause of death is due to underlying medical conditions like heart problems.

Under proper medical supervision, these erection drugs are very safe.

Decreased sex drive may be due to andropause, a condition brought about by declining levels of testosterone or male hormone and also the result from sexual problems with the advent of middle age.

It is not a mid-life crisis, but rather an actual physical decline of your body.

It is a matter of perspective.
Solving age-related sexual problems requires a change in perspective.

There are many levels of sexual performance.

You and your partner can feel satisfied with which ever level you choose even in old age.

By now, after experiencing sexual activities through your marriage, you and your partner should have discovered which level both of you enjoy and stick with it.

As you grow older, sex is not a question of function or whether you can do it or not.

Sex becomes an act of enjoyment and bonding between loving couples.

You should focus more on building relationships with the most important people in your life and let go of past grievances.

Also, be mentally and financially prepared for your retirement.

When you enter your golden years possessing financial stability and companionship will equipped you with more fulfilling life in the later years.

Do not let the flame go out of your sex life just because age is catching up on you.
